We operate in conjunction with the owner of one of the largest displays of Range cookers in the
UK, (Also with other major appliance retailers). Recently a visitor from the USA walked around the showroom
with me and was impressed to see over 90 different Range cookers on display from many manufacturers.
He stated “This type of display is not available in the States, as the few showrooms available
in the States normally stick with one or two manufacturers.” We have chosen what we believe
are the best Range cookers for appearance and dependability (no light ‘tinny’ ranges) and
expect once installed should give at least ten years use give 12 months parts warrantee.
We can supply spare a capable repairperson will be able to fit. To date we have not had to send
any spare parts out to customers as the Ranges we supply are manufactured to high E.U.
specifications or British Standards, and fully tested before leaving the factory.
We are associated to a major parts supplier.
Electricity Requirement The appliances we sell operate on 220/230V A.C. electricity supply which is now available worldwide. There is a slight variation of requency of either 50Hz or 60Hz in some countries.
When operated at 60Hz there is an almost unnoticable
variation in the output but the clock loses time. Very few homes depend ona cooker clock for time.
Gas Supply Required
Question:
Are there any gas pressure or any line (Gas Pipe) requirements we must meet and should we adapt in some fashion?
Answer:
Regarding gas pressure, due to the size of the U.S.A. and some States having different requirements,
I personally visited houses in different States to check electricity and gas supplies.
I have also tested supplies, met with electrical engineers and visited a large manufacturer of electrical
plugs and sockets that are fitted in kitchens to connect the ranges. Therefore any gas or electrical
connection must be as required by the appliance, this is 220V electricity supply with 30A or 50A cable,
depending on the Range to be used.
Natural Gas supply must be 20mbar fed with ½ inch pipe work
to the appliance for natural gas. There are different requirements for L.P.G. (bottled / bulk propane supply).
The ½ inch fitting at back of the Range is the same and in most cases normal LPG domestic pressures
Are applicable.
On occasions where the gas supply pressure was too high, we have supplied one of our exclusively designed
gas regulators (see details on this web site. There different methods of measuring gas supply pressure,
if you require further gas or electrical installation information, or to discuss a particular Range just
put your name and tel. number to me malcolm@chef-rangecookers.com and I will contact you,
I also contact every customer or there installer with information not available anywhere else on the internet.
Most customers email me 2 or 3 times before ordering.
